My family project.

As I got the pleasure of taking Emerging Technology this semester, it is sadly coming to an end. The last project we have gotten assigned to is our Family Heritage. This final we were assigned to is consisted of five smaller projects all put together of what we've learnt throughout this semester.

First, I had to gather my information so I typed up 25 questions. Those questions are found in the link: Nana's interview  Dads Interview

Next I sent emails to find out facts, pictures, and information about my family so I sent it out to my nana and my dad. Click here to see my email:Email.

To organize all of this we got to create an Family Echo, from the information I got from my family I gathered all the family members together an put it on this site. Take a look:Family Echo.

With this information I was able to create my Prezi and Infographic!


For the last part I am putting in the routine my whole family does before bed.. Bushes our teeth, goes and gets water, walks to there room, and goes to bed. Enjoy :)

My opinion on this video is that it was a very moving short video. It made me realize that the world is really coming to technology as its first source. There was actually an article the other day that i read about how a certain percent now go to their phones when walking because of self-confidence. We are all relying on our phones for support and help, if we could ask people and actually interact with people i would not only helping the long run but for our future relationships. Try it, put down your phone and face the world with your fiends by your side.

Read this blog post by a teacherblog post by a teacher. I mean actually read it. Take it in. Think about it. And then, write about it. What do you think about it? What is the teacher trying to say? In your own words explain what "the main event" is.

I think hearing this at the time of year from another teacher that is not my own is very motivating to finish my year off strong and greatly by getting what i need done. No matter what i am going to strive, because this teacher believes in me, and quite frankly i believe in myself. This is not a 4 year school, this is the rest of our life's, what i'm saying is we will be learning forever.. So why give up now just because "schools about to end" or summer is here. No never give up, because this life gives us so many great opportunities why ditch them to be "cool" or "popular?" Be you because i know around 80-90% of you reading this want to have a bright future, and we wont be able to have that if we give up now, because that'll lead us to fail again and again. The teacher that wrote this is telling us that i upsets him and mostly other teachers when they see us give up, because to them the want to see you fly by in life the good way, the smart way, the bright way. This is all for you, they're teaching not only because they love it its because they love you. When we give up we're showing them failure. The main event to me is a motivation to not give up and to keep on going, because if we give up now we wont be going far their are many more challenges in life to face to give up now.

Tell me about your 5 frame storyboard. What did you like about the project? What did you dislike? Was it hard to fit a story in to 5 images? Do you think you tell a clear story? What would you do differently if you could? Explain

My 5 frame story included myself going/getting ready for the gym. What i liked is the way you can tell what's happening without writing an actual story. What I disliked is it was only 5 pictures, in my opinion i think we should've had more pictures than that to get into better detail. In my storyboard i feel you can defiantly figure out my story easily,and its in detail also easy to follow. I wouldn't do anything differently next time besides making a better rubric and adding more detail to the boxes. Overall, I'm quite happy with my storyboard

What is a storyboard? If you don't know, what do you think it is? How are storyboards used? What are some different ways that storyboards can be made?

A storyboard to me is like a comic book to others. It is a sequence of drawings or many other pictures. They are used in magazines, on propaganda, or visual advertisement to show a story. Some different ways are publishing online, on paper, or on poster board.

Did you get your pictures taken yesterday? Did you enjoy going on the photo scavenger hunt? Why do you think I had you take those types of pictures?

I did take the pictures, and they turned out well. It was fun, and better than any of the other ones because we got to interact with our partners. I believe you did this because our next projects will include photoshop, etc. in it.

What do you know about photography? When you take pictures what kind of camera do you use? Do you use your cell phone? Do you own a digital camera that is not your cell phone? Explain.

 Normally when taking photography it comes out of the blue, so most of the time its on my phone. When i'm planning on i have a camera of my own. Either way they normally turn out great.

Welcome back! How was your Spring Break? Tell me all about it. You've been out of school for 10 days so I know you will have plenty to share. Make it good!

Overall, my spring break was alright. All i did was work out at lifetime, go to work, and hang out with friends every night. Although, I did encounter one scary thing among a 3 day period... It all happened Thursday night around 8 o'clock i was at work (Walgreen's) and this early 20 year old guy came in. Well when he came in i got that feeling that I have never had before, i felt scared and at a feeling of unease. He was watching my every move whilst i was working. After an hour and a half i finally asked him if he was going to get anything. Finally, he got a snickers bar, when he approached me he appeared to come very close to me and kept harassing me about what i would be doing that night. i just kept doing my job as told to do in these situations, he finally left and i was happy he did.. Until i saw him looking in the window at me. I called my manager to come to the front and she told him to leave. The next day when i was working out i encountered him again while i was with my personal trainer, Terrance. I told Terrance about my previous night, whilst i was telling him about it he came up to me again, and yet again harassed me with all these inappropriate questions. Terrance grew mad and started telling him to leave, after a while he soon did. But then the scary thing happened Saturday night while i was working again, he came in. I saw him come in and like before became scared as i was walking back to get my manager I turned around and saw him talking pictures and recording me. I walked a little bit and got my manager. She went out to talk to him, but he would not listen just laugh that he had pictures and recordings of me working and working out? I called my dad immediately and he was up there immediately. We called the police, but he got away... Hopefully the police find him and he never harasses me again.

*This blog post is important to me. Not that all of them aren't but your post today is evidence that you have indeed LEARNED something. Prove it.

In this whole progress i have learnt a lot about the fashion industry as well as the eating disorders within them. When going into this project, I didn't know a lot about it just the general of it. I can successfully say that after this project I've learnt that this is a serious cause and many models are dying from these so called "diets." Many models, people of our society are starting to depend on these models to see what their body shape and look should look like instead of the norm. Start the petition today to help us get back to normal. xoxo

If you had the option of writing a 3 page paper or creating an infographic - which one would you choose? Explain yourself.

In my opinion i would write a three page paper, because honestly that sounds better than an infographic. The infographics to me are boring and not getting to the point; which people want. Three page paper you can explain thoroughly with what this problem is about and how you can help. With infographic you are just stating statistics, not getting to the point. That's just my opinion though, you can decide differently.

Why do I have you brainstorm and collect your information in a Google Doc before putting in to final draft? Explain.
You have us do this so you can we can be more organized within our project. This can also help us follow the guidelines of our infographic, and finish faster. Overall, this is a big help to our learning.

Yesterday I introduced you to infographics... tell me again what they are and how they are used? What is the benefit of an infographic? What goes into an infogrpahic? Also, go out and see if you can find an already existing infographic on your global issue. Save the image to your computer and upload the image into your blog post for today. Save the source link to the image so that you can site the image in your blog post. See my examples at the end of this post.

Infographics are special posters that can include many information about almost any topic. Mainly an infographic is an image containing graphics and text including statistics about a certain topic. Want to know statistics, steps, types of information including your project? Look into an infographic today! Here is an example of the topic i'm looking into, now you take a look!

So far i am on paragraph 2, so far it is kind of difficult to write since there isn't a lot of sources or information on my topic. Hopefully i can find some more to make it look good. So far so good!

Tell me about your Sweetheart weekend. If you didn't go to Sweetheart, what did you do? I want details!

Over the course of this weekend i did a lot of things. Friday night i hung out with my friends and went to a friends party, which was fun. We then went back to my friends house and just talked and went to bed, bad thing was i had work the next morning and we only got a few hours sleep. Saturday I worked and after that i got ready to go out to the plaza with my boyfriend and go to dinner, because i didn't really want to go to Sweetheart. So i dressed up for dinner instead and he took me to Capital Grille(which was to die for) and then surprised me with a horse and carriage ride which ive always wanted to do. We then went back to his house and went to his best friends party. Sunday, i worked until 4 and then Jordan ( my boyfriend) picked me up we went to his little sisters birthday party and then went back to my house for the SuperBowl game. Unfortunately, the Broncos didn't win :( This weekend was a pretty good weekend, how was yours? xoxo

Who do you look up to in life? Why? What have they done to help you or guide you?


My Mom, she's been through so much throughout her childhood years and she has literally turned into the nicest,sweetest,most caring,funniest, and genuine women. Throughout everything everyday she keeps a smile on her face and strives to be the best Mom there is every day. She has done a lot to guide me through life as soon as I start going down a rocky slope, she picks me right back up and gets me on track. I'm so thankful to have her there to tell everything to, because without her I don't know where I'd be today.

Bullying, I think it is such a terrible thing to deal with and actually do to someone. It is getting so bad that many people worldwide are killing themselves daily because of bullying. It needs to stop, because words can hurt others. So remember to be careful what you say to someones face or online, because you never know who could be gone tomorrow.

A Public Service Announcement to me is an announcement that takes place normally via television or radio to get peoples attention to help whatever is in need at that moment. Normally I see pet PSA about animal abuse, and to call today to help raise money for them because they are in need. There are many other Pet Service Announcements out there can you recall any?

Tell me about your three day weekend. How was it? What did you do? Elaborate!

Over the course of my three day weekend I hung out with friends. Friday I went to lunch with my friends at RA Sushi, and then we went shopping. That night I went to support my boyfriend at his JV and Varsity basketball games(Which they won both wohoo)! Saturday I went to apply for jobs, and then had a birthday party that night to attend. Sunday I went down to the plaza with my boyfriend and forced him to go shopping with me. Later that night, we went to his friends party. Monday my friend and I asked our boyfriends to Sweetheart by doing a scavenger hunt leading up to a Picnic it was adorable, and they loved it so that was the main thing. Overall, I had a good weekend, how was yours?

What have you learned about Google Drive and Google Presentation so far? What do you like about it? What problems have you run in to? Is it better than PowerPoint? -I haven't used these websites before so I was very curious in learning more. I defiantly like these better than power points. I also like how it saves automatically so I can click on and off of it and it's still saved. One thing I do not like is how It takes a while to find everything in he tool bar. Overall, I like this websites better than Word PowerPoint. xoxo

What do you want to learn in the class the semester? What information do you want to walk away with that you didn't know before? Elaborate!
This semester I hope to learn more about Emerging Technology, including the ways around many of our experiments including Blogger. After taking this class I hope to excel within Blogger and the other websites we take part in.
